Your truck is down on I-80. Call the heavy fleet directly.
Two rotators, three heavy-duty wreckers, air cushions, and load transfer equipment staged on Highway 281 in Grand Island, with a straight run to I-80 Exit 312. Family owned since 1963.
Don't leave the call to the rotation list.
When your driver has a wreck and nobody requests a specific tower, the next operator on the list gets the job, whether or not they have the right equipment for a loaded tractor-trailer. Put Kramer's in your breakdown and accident protocol before it happens.
Right equipment the first time
Rotators, heavy wreckers, a full air cushion setup, and load transfer equipment mean one company handles the whole scene instead of calling for backup.
Start to finish, one call
Recovery, towing, load transfer, and secure storage handled by our own certified operators, so your team has one point of contact.
Fast to the interstate
Our yard sits on US-281, which runs straight south to I-80 Exit 312, the Grand Island interchange.
Billing your office can work with
Fleet accounts can pay with EFS, Comchek, T-Chek, and company checks. Set up your fleet in advance and billing moves quickly.
When a wrecker isn't enough.
A rotator's boom lifts and swings a full 360 degrees, so we can upright, lift, and set loaded units from where the truck can safely stand. It's the tool for rollovers, tight scenes, and heavy lifts.

What a rotator gets you
Uprighting and lifting with control, instead of dragging a unit across the ground.
Work from the shoulder or one lane, so the scene can clear sooner.
Heavy lifts beyond roadside: trailers, equipment, and loads that need to be picked, not pulled.
About our rotator serviceBuilt for the hard calls.
Loaded rollovers, shifted loads, units stuck off the road. If it rolls, floats, or flies, we'll tow it.
Upright, recovered, cleaned up
We cover the entire wreck from beginning to end: uprighting the unit, recovering and transferring the load, and clearing the scene.
Heavy recovery details →Air cushion recovery

One family. Sixty-plus years.
Kramer's Wrecker Service was started by LeRoy and Arlene Kramer. In 2001, their daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Tim Bartz, took over the family business.
It started from humble beginnings, built on hard work and integrity. Those are the same values we bring to every call, whether it's a neighbor locked out of their car or a loaded semi on its side in the median.
Hours, coverage, payment, and more.
Are you open 24/7?
Yes. Dispatch answers every hour of every day, holidays included. Call dispatch at (308) 384-1116.
Where are you located?
Our yard is at 3405 N US Hwy 281 in Grand Island, Nebraska. US-281 runs straight south to I-80 Exit 312, the Grand Island interchange.
What areas do you cover?
I-80 from Kearney (Exit 272) to York (Exit 353), US-281 north and south of Grand Island (including toward Hastings and Red Cloud), Nebraska Highway 2, and Grand Island and Hall County. We go farther when a job needs our equipment, so if you're not sure, call dispatch and ask.
How long have you been in business?
Since 1963. LeRoy and Arlene Kramer started the company, and their daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Tim Bartz, have run it since 2001.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold USDOT 655169 and MC-322473 interstate for-hire authority, carry full insurance, and use certified tow operators.
